Tom Hall of WYPR-FM will serve as co-host on MPT’s Artworks for four episodes airing between May 23 and July 18.
Hall, culture editor for “Maryland Morning with Sheilah Kast” and host of the station’s “Choral Arts Classics,” will co-host Artworks following co-host appearances by Kwame Kwei-Armah, the artistic director of Centerstage. The program airs Thursday evenings at 8:30 p.m.
A Reservoir Hill resident, Hall is music director of the Baltimore Choral Arts Society. As co-host for MPT’s production, he’ll help introduce excerpts highlighting a fantasy clock maker; a “war photography” exhibit spanning 150 years; a profile of the wig designer for the Broadway revival, Annie: the Musical; the cult stop-motion animation films of the twin Quay Brother; and an interview with Lady Fiona Carnavon, the Countess of Highclere Castle – the real Downton Abbey, among others.
