Host Hotels CFO Harvey stepping down from post

BETHESDA — Host Hotels & Resorts’ chief financial officer, Larry Harvey, is stepping down from his post.

Harvey, who will continue as an executive vice president until the third quarter, will hand over CFO responsibilities to Gregory Larson. Harvey had served as CFO since 2007.

Larson, who has worked at Host Hotels since 1993, is currently executive vice president of corporate strategy.

Aside from his current responsibilities, Chief Investment Officer Struan Robertson will now take on disposition efforts from Larson.

Host Hotels & Resorts Inc. is a lodging real estate investment trust that currently owns 103 properties in the U.S. and 15 properties overseas. The Bethesda company also holds non-controlling interests in a joint venture in Europe that owns 19 hotels and a joint venture in Asia that owns one hotel in Australia and a minority stake in two hotels in India and five hotels that are in various stages of development in India.

Earlier this month Host Hotels posted a strong first-quarter performance on a sustained increase in room rates.

Its shares finished at $18.77 on Friday. They had traded in a 52-week range of $13,58 to $18.82.
