Charm City Roller Girls win billboard contest

Charm City Roller Girls, an, amateur, flat-track, female roller derby league, got the most votes from the public in a small-business contest launched by MGH Inc., a Baltimore-based advertising, public relations and design firm.

The prize: a free billboard, designed by MGH and placed in a prominent location on Interstate 95 southbound, just before the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel and O’Donnell Street exit — the same exit fans take to see the Roller Girls play at the Clarence “Du” Burns Arena in Canton.

The billboard will be up for one month.

The contest was open to Maryland-based businesses with annual revenue of less than $5 million.
