Six join Komen Maryland board

Michelle Bland, Melanie Brzozowski, Phyllis Gray, Stephanie Saunders, Levi Williams and Jill Yonowitz have been appointed to the board of directors of the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

 

Michelle Bland, CMP, is a breast cancer survivor and has been an active year-round volunteer for Komen Maryland since 2010. In 2010 she received the Maryland Affiliate “Survivor Award.” She is currently the Associate Director of Sales at the Sheraton Annapolis Hotel, and has nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, mostly in sales.

 

Melanie Brzozowski

Melanie Brzozowski

Melanie Brzozowski, is an award-winning event designer at Chef’s Expressions in Baltimore. She has been a caterer and event planner since 1999. She is a board member of the Baltimore Chapter of the National Association for Catering and Events and has served as board vice president, secretary and program chair. In 2010, she won a national award from NACE for “Best Off-Premise Catering Event.”

 

Phyllis Gray

Phyllis Gray

Phyllis Gray is the vice president of the Oncology Service Line at Medstar Health in Baltimore. She has more than 30 years of experience in the health care industry, including work at Kennedy Kreiger, where she was responsible for the operations of the International Center for Spinal Cord Injury, and Good Samaritan Hospital where she was assistant vice president for Patient Care Services and director of Rehabilitation Services.

 

Stephanie Saunders

Stephanie Saunders

Stephanie Saunders, a breast cancer survivor, is a vice president at Morgan Stanley in Easton. She has been as senior investment management consultant at Morgan Stanley for the past 15 years. Previously, she was the CFO of Pursuit Transport and a financial analyst at Preston Trucking.

 

Levi Williams

Levi Williams

Levi Williams is the director of Human Resources at Knorr Brake Corporation, the leading manufacturer of braking, door, and HVAC systems for the mass transit rail industry. She has had a distinguished 14-year career in human resources, including positions at DHL Global Mail, Graham Packing Company, Feddex Freight East, and Solo Cup Company.

 

Jill Yonowitz

Jill Yonowitz

Jill Yonowitz is the Director of Health Plan Operations, Baltimore Service Area, at Kaiser Permanente. She has a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina, School of Public Health. Previous to working at Kaiser, she was involved with several healthcare organizations as an operations expert, creating efficiencies in performance financials and clinical outcomes.
