Peregoy joins Brigance Brigade

Stephen PeregoyStephen Peregoy has joined The Brigance Brigade Foundation as executive director.

Peregoy will work with O.J. and Chanda Brigance and the foundation’s board to strategically create and implement a long-term direction for the organization and collaborate with other ALS groups nationwide.

Prior to joining the Brigance Brigade Foundation, Peregoy spent four years as the executive director of the International Dyslexia Association, where he oversaw the leading national organization for dyslexia with 48 branches and 17 global partners. In this role, Peregoy managed the strategic planning process, evaluated organization effectiveness, diversified fundraising strategies and created mission-based products and services for families and individuals challenged with dyslexia.

Peregoy earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Health Science from Towson University. He began his career in education, teaching and conducting a variety of programs at Catonsville Community College, Shippensburg University and Towson University. He then went on to work for the American Lung Association, where he planned and implemented special event fundraisers, developed marketing strategies and established the overall direction for the organization.
