LINTHICUM — BWI Airport says normal operations will resume shortly now that the National Weather Service has canceled a tornado warning.
The airport earlier advised customers and employees to seek shelter, in a restroom or in the lowest level of the terminal, and stay away from windows because of severe weather outside.
But the airport now says on Twitter that operations will be getting back to normal soon.
The Federal Aviation Administration says flights heading to the airport are being delayed at their departure point.
The National Weather Service has reported a tornado has been reported in Montgomery County, north of Washington.
