Constellation touts CO2 emissions drop

Constellation, of Baltimore, a unit of Exelon Corp., of Chicago, said one of its programs, called “Efficiency Made Easy,” enabled customers to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 75,432 metric tons or 166,299,142 pounds over the past two years.

Efficiency Made Easy enables Constellation commercial and industrial customers in competitive electricity markets to fund energy conservation measures, such as energy-efficient lighting, as part of their electricity supply bill.

Launched in early 2011 in the Northeast and Great Lakes regions, Constellation is expanding its Efficiency Made Easy offering this month to competitive electricity markets nationwide.
