Marriott Rewards, the guest loyalty program of Bethesda-based Marriott International Inc., has been named the top hotel loyalty program by U.S. News & World Report in a recent survey of hotel and airline frequent travel programs.
Cited for having no blackout dates and a portfolio of more than 3,700 hotels across 14 distinctive brands around the world,
Marriott Rewards received the highest score among 16 major hotel programs.
In the same survey, Rockville-based Choice Hotels International’s Choice Privileges program was ranked No.5.
The U.S. News rankings were based on the number of participating hotels, ease of earning and redeeming travel awards, and the programs’ overall flexibility.
