UMUC provost to take New Hampshire post

Gregory von Lehmen, the University of Maryland University College’s provost and chief academic officer, has been named provost of Mount Washington College, formerly Hesser College, in Manchester, N.H.

In the new post, he will be responsible for providing strategic, intellectual and administrative leadership for the academic areas of the institution.

Von Lehmen, who has nearly 30 years of higher education experience, started with UMUC in Tokyo in 2001 as director of its programs serving the U.S. military across the Japanese home islands.

Mount Washington College offers courses on-line as well as at campuses in Manchester and elsewhere in southern New Hampshire.
