A Maryland inmate who officials say impregnated multiple guards and ran a jailhouse gang has entered a guilty plea in federal court in Baltimore.
Thirty-six-year-old Tavon White also pleaded guilty to attempted murder in Baltimore City Circuit Court on Tuesday.
In federal court, White pleaded guilty Tuesday to racketeering conspiracy. He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison when he is sentenced Feb. 20.
White was among about two dozen people charged in April in a vast drug-smuggling operation at the downtown Baltimore jail. White agreed to the plea deal in July.
In Baltimore City, White was sentenced to 20 years for shooting a man several times in 2009. He had been tried twice before in that case, but both trials resulted in hung juries.
