Sinclair closes on Fisher acquisition

Sinclair Broadcast Group, of Hunt Valley, an independent television broadcasting company, said Thursday that it has closed on its previously announced acquisition of Seattle-based Fisher Communications, Inc. for approximately $373.3 million, or $41 per share, less acquired working capital.

The deal covers 22 television stations in eight markets in Washington state, Idaho, Oregon and California, and four radio stations, all in Seattle.

Including all current and pending acquisitions, Sinclair will own and operate, program or provide sales services to 149 television stations in 76 markets.

They consist of 33 Fox affiliates, 27 ABC, 25 CBS, 23 CW, 20 MNT, 14 NBC, five Univisioin, one Azteca and one independent station.
