SBA’s Sandy assistance deadline near

Small businesses, agricultural and aquacultural entities and private nonprofit organizations in four counties on Maryland’s Eastern Shore have until Sept. 16 to apply for low-interest disaster assistance loans as part of the recovery from Hurricane Sandy, the U.S. Small Business Administration said.

Economic Injury Disaster Loans up to $2 million are available at 3 percent for private nonprofit organizations of all sizes and 4 percent for small businesses, with terms up to 30 years. Loans are targeted at Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties in Maryland, and Accomack County in Virginia.
