The Baltimore County Federation of Public Health Nurses has approved a two-year extension of its contract with the county, the county executive’s office announced Thursday.
The agreement extends the current contract that was scheduled to expire on June 30, 2014 to June 30, 2016.
County firefighters and paramedics agreed to a similar two-year extension of their contract last week.
The agreement with county-employed nurses and nurse practitioners provides for a 3 percent bonus for all employees on the payroll as of Oct. 1, 2014, to be paid in November 2014; a 3 percent cost of living allowance for all employees in the bargaining unit on July 1, 2015; and no layoffs or furloughs for covered employees through FY 16.
