More labor extensions in Baltimore County

Two more groups of Baltimore County employees have agreed to extend their working agreements with the county by two years, County Executive Kevin Kamenetz announced Friday.

The agreements, which were to expire on June 30, 2014, cover so-called supervisory, management and confidential employees as well as the chief officers of the fire department. Both groups extended their agreements through June 30, 2016.

While not represented by official bargaining units, representatives of the groups met with county labor officials to reach agreement on salary increases, cost of living adjustments and other issues. About 650 employees are affected by these agreements.

Earlier, county firefighters and paramedics, and public health nurses, also agreed to two-year contract extensions.
