Manekin named NAIOP Maryland awards committee co-chair

Jon ManekinJon Manekin of Corporate Office Properties Trust has been named one of the co-chairs of the NAIOP Maryland 2014 Awards of Excellence Committee, a competitive awards gala organized every two years by the local commercial real estate trade organization. Last year, 16 separate, local companies and seven individuals were honored with 32 awards at the event that attracted more than 400 professionals to the Hyatt Regency Baltimore.

Manekin, leasing representative and asset management for Corporate Office Properties Trust, will solicit award submissions and organize the associated property tours of projects under consideration for the awards competition. Nicole Andrews, business development manager for ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC and Morgan Gilligan, vice president and senior business development officer for Stewart Title, are the other two chairs.

Examples of project awards presented at the bi-annual Awards Gala include Best Adaptive Reuse, Environmentally Friendly Award and Best Historical Retail Renovation. A sampling of individual awards include Brokerage Award, Rising Star Award and Lifetime Achievement Award.
