Brown, Ulman, to officially file candidacy

ANNAPOLIS — Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown is making his run for governor official.

Brown, a Democrat, is scheduled to file his candidacy at the Maryland State Board of Elections in Annapolis on Friday. His running mate, Ken Ulman, is scheduled to join him at the board.

Del. Heather Mizeur also is running for the Democratic nomination for governor.

Attorney General Doug Gansler announced on Thursday he is launching a kick-off campaign for the nomination in a statewide tour beginning Sept. 24 in Rockville, Ellicott City and Baltimore.
