Maryland Moment – The Rotunda is reborn

A group of community residents who live near The Rotunda join Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and City Councilwoman Mary Pat Clarke on Wednesday for the groundbreaking of a $100 million redevelopment. The project will add 379 apartments to the site, 152,000 square-feet of revitalized retail space, a public plaza and an interactive fountain. Construction is expected to last through late 2015. The Rite Aid, Rotunda Cinemas and dozens of offices will remain open during construction. (Melody Simmons/The Daily Record)
