Howard Bancorp Inc., of Ellicott City, the parent company of Howard Bank, announced that Richard W. Story, a prominent economic development expert and a former CEO of the Howard County Economic Development Authority, will join the bank as senior vice president, community relations and government affairs, and business development liaison.
Story is leaving JPB Partners, which he joined in 2011 as senior vice president for marketing.
He served for 17 years as head of the HCEDA.
Before that he was executive director of the Baltimore County Economic Development Commission and director of the Carroll County Economic Development Commission.
He was inducted in the Maryland Economic Development Association’s Hall of Fame in 2006.
