The director of the agency running Maryland’s health insurance exchange said Tuesday that officials there are dissatisfied with the performance of Maryland’s health insurance website.
Rebecca Pearce, executive director of the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange, said “the pace of improvements to the website since it launched on October 1” was also unsatisfactory.
Without giving details, Pearce said the site’s prime contractor, Noridian Healthcare Solutions LLC, of Fargo, N.D., “is making a number of changes, including increasing the resources devoted to the project.”
Pearce’s statement came as Republicans in Congress continued to criticize the rollout of the troubled Affordable Care Act.
In her statement, Pearce did not disclose how many Maryland residents have signed up for health insurance since the Oct. l launch.
