Morgan Stanley team moves to rival firm

A team of financial planners from Morgan Stanley’s Baltimore office that caters to wealthy clients has moved over to a rival financial services firm, Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, the Philadelphia-based Janney announced.

Douglas Velnoskey, a 26-year financial industry veteran, has joined Janney’s Baltimore branch office as senior vice president/wealth management.

Velnoskey, who oversees $190 million in client assets, will be joined by Financial Advisor Bryan Carney, Senior Registered Private Client Assistant Coleen Kramer Beal, and Senior Registered Private Client Assistant Brian Etzler, to form the Velnoskey Wealth Management Group of Janney Montgomery Scott.
