Northrop Grumman Corp.’s Electronics Systems sector, which is based in Linthicum, will do most of the work on a contract to supply radar systems to the Royal Thai Air Force, the company said Tuesday.
Under the terms of the contract, Northrop Grumman will begin supplying AN/TPS-78 air defense and surveillance radar systems starting in 2015.
The company will also provide training, spares and logistics support.
“With this award, we continue our 25 years of support of the Royal Thai Air Force and the national security infrastructure of Thailand,” Robert Royer, vice president of Northrop Grumman’s International Systems business unit, said in a statement.
The value of the contract was not disclosed; in June, Northrop Grumman won a $115 million contract to supply several nations’ armed forces, including Thailand’s, with radar systems.
