Md. casinos’ revenue for Dec. announced

Maryland’s four casinos — Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County, Casino at Ocean Downs in Worcester County, Maryland Live Casino in Anne Arundel County, and Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Allegany County — generated $65,039,314 in combined revenue statewide in December 2013, the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency announced Tuesday.

Broken down, Hollywood Casino Perryville took in approximately $6.5 million from its 1,158 slot machines and 22 table games.

Casino at Ocean Downs generated nearly $3.4 million from 800 slot machines.

Maryland Live — the state’s most lucrative casino — yielded approximately $52.5 million from 4,341 slot machines and 174 table games.

And Rocky Gap Casino Resort produced $2.6 million from its 558 slot machines and 13 table games.

Excluding Rocky Gap, which opened in May 2013, December casino revenue rose by 38 percent over December 2012, according to the state agency. But the December numbers were the lowest in the state since last spring.
