Murray M. Dalziel, director of the University of Liverpool Management School, has been named dean of the University of Baltimore’s Merrick School of Business.
Dalziel will join UB in August.
UB President Robert Bogomolny said Dalziel’s dual education in the United States and the United Kingdom, combined with his years of practical experience as a business developer and adviser to senior executives in a number of global companies, make him an ideal leader for the business school.
Dalziel earned a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, and a doctorate in sociology from Harvard University.
His business experience includes nearly 20 years in various leadership roles at the Hay Group, a global management consulting firm based in Philadelphia, including managing director for North America, Europe and the U.K.
