No Towson circulator, yet

New development means new transportation issues.

So as Towson continues to grow some residents are hoping for new transportation options. One of the ideas to emerge is the possibility of creating a Towson Circulator. Baltimore has already implemented a similar option called the  Charm City Circulator. The free buses, paid for with parking taxes, take residents to several thriving neighborhoods and employment centers.

But it doesn’t look like Towson will be getting a circulator any time soon. Answering a reporter’s question, following the announcement that the new Cinemark Towson and XD theaters will open on July 10, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz wouldn’t commit to the idea.

“We’re evaluating that, we have some discussions going on, we’re not there yet,” Kamenetz said.
