Horseshoe Casino Baltimore announced Wednesday that it plans to open on the evening of Aug. 26.
General Manager Chad Barnhill announced the planned opening date at a meeting of the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission. The date will mark the opening not only for the gaming spaces, but also for the casino’s restaurants including taqueria Johnny Sánchez and Guy Fieri’s Baltimore Kitchen & Bar.
Barnhill would not say what time the grand opening events would begin, but said they would start with a VIP event.
The casino also plans to hold controlled demonstrations on Aug. 18 and 21.
“Horseshoe Baltimore is going to provide our guests with an experience unlike any other they’ve had in this area,” Barnhill said. “In just several weeks, we’re going to change the way people in and around Maryland think of casino entertainment.
