KoolSpan completes Cync program

KoolSpan, a developer of patented, hardware-based mobile security encryption products, has graduated from the Cync program at the Cyber Incubator on the campus of bwtech@UMBC. Cync is a partnership between global security firm Northrop Grumman Corp. and the Cyber Incubator to nurture cyber startups. Three other startups — AccelerEyes (now ArrayFire), Five Directions and Oculis Labs — also have completed the 18-month scholarship program and launched cybersecurity businesses. Chris Valentino, director of strategy, Cyber division, Northrop Grumman Information Systems, said in a statement: “With today’s reliance on mobile communications, KoolSpan’s approach to encrypting mobile applications is allowing customers to thrive in a secure business environment.”
