Baltimore branch wins NAACP awards

The Baltimore City Branch of the NAACP was awarded two Thalheimer Awards during the National Convention in Las Vegas, branch President Tessa Hill-Aston announced on Thursday. Baltimore was chosen the best branch in the nation for publications, which includes its interaction with the media, publicizing events, informing the public on issues and providing documentation on issues.  It placed second in programs, which include activities with children and public forums. The Thalheimer Award is the NAACP’s top honor given to branches for outstanding achievements.
