BWI will give flyer miles for shopping, parking, dining

So maybe you’re not the most frequent flyer. You fly a couple times a year, but you’re no globetrotter.

But when you do make a visit to the airport, you go all out — a three-course meal, massage, pedicure, neck pillow shopping spree. They’re all part of the experience.

Well BWI has some good news for you.

The Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport has just launched a program that allows travelers to earn frequent flyer miles or hotel points when they park, shop or dine at the airport. They’re calling it the “Thanks Again” program.

Members of the program will earn one airline mile or two points for every dollar spent on parking and purchases at most stores and restaurants in BWI Marshall.

It’s free to join. Travelers can register their credit or debit cards at www.thanksagain.com/BWI. They just need to make sure they use that same card when paying for parking or purchases at the airport.

So then… how many magazines and paperback books will get me on one of those new Southwest flights to the Bahamas?
