UM offers new engineering certificate

The University of Maryland’s Fischell Department of Bioengineering and Center of Excellence in Regulatory Science and Innovation will launch a graduate certificate in regulatory science and engineering at the start of the fall semester, the university announced. The new certificate program’s focus will include medical devices, statistical analysis required for Food and Drug Administration-regulated clinical trial, legal issues and device classification. Program students will complete four required courses and one elective from within the A. James Clark School of Engineering. Students can take courses in College Park or online.
