07-22-14 BALTIMORE, MD- The DHMH Public Health Laboratory has officially opened its doors on Rutland Avenue in east Baltimore revealing its new 234,000 square foot space, to replace its former 40 year old facility at State Center in Baltimore. The new 6 level facility will conduct more than 10 million tests annually to surveillance an track diseases, environmental hazards in water, soil, and air, as well as toxic contamination of food and water.
