(AP) Anne Arundel County officials estimate it could cost $3 million to repair the damage from historic rainfalls that deluged the county this week. The county experienced some of the highest rain totals from a line of storms that ran through the region Tuesday. The community of Green Haven recorded more than 10 inches of rain, and Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, which is located in the county, recorded 6.3 inches, the highest level ever recorded at the airport. The Capital of Annapolis reported that a preliminary assessment Thursday by county officials found washed-out roads and damaged underground utilities throughout the county. Some repairs may take weeks.
