2U offers AmeriCorps scholarships

Landover-based 2U, which provides cloud-based education-related software, announced it has partnered with Habitat for Humanity to provide AmeriCorps Alumni Association members with scholarships to four master’s degree programs enabled by 2U — international relations from American University, public administration and business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and public health from George Washington University. 2U will provide scholarships of $10,000  to eligible AmeriCorps Alumni Association members who have served with the nonprofit housing organization. “AmeriCorps members have been valued supporters of Habitat for Humanity for 20 years,” Peter Rumsey, director of National Service for Habitat for Humanity International, said in a statement. “We are grateful to 2U for providing this educational opportunity to those dedicated members of Habitat’s AmeriCorps Alumni Association.”
