Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc., the Hunt Valley-based television company, announced on Wednesday that it will buy a third TV station in Las Vegas, NBC affiliate KSNV, from Intermountain West for $120 million. Sinclair expects to close on the deal in the first quarter of 2015. Sinclair already owns two other stations in Las Vegas, KVCW (CW) and KVMY (MyNet). Sinclair will sell the Federal Communications Commission license of one station in order to comply with regulatory requirements, but will continue to run the programming of all three. Sinclair also announced that it has closed on the purchase of WGXA (Fox/ABC) in Macon, Georgia, from Frontier Broadcast Holdings LLC and on the sale of WHTM (ABC) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to Media General Inc. When pending agreements are complete, Sinclair will reach about 38 percent of the U.S. TV market.
