Household income in the Baltimore region hasn’t changed from the first full year after the recession, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The metro area’s 2013 median household income was $68,455, essentially the same as in 2010, which was $68,935 in 2013 dollars, say statistics from the bureau’s American Community Survey. The percentage of those below the poverty level also remained much the same — 11.2 percent in 2013 compared with 11.0 in 2010. There was a drop in the part of the population without health insurance — 8.7 percent, down from 10.1 in 2010.
