Marriott producing shows

Marriott International Inc., of Bethesda, the global hotel company, announced it has formed a studio to produce and distribute video and other content across digital, TV and other platforms. Karin Timpone, Marriott’s global marketing officer, said in a statement: “The purpose is to create and establish original content as a key component of the company’s global marketing strategy.” The studio is headed by David Beebe, vice president, creative + content marketing, global marketing, who joined Marriott from Disney-ABC Television Group. Plans call for travel-oriented programming featuring online and TV personalities and projects that include an “action-comedy” movie called “Two Bellmen,” about two Marriott employees who save a Los Angeles hotel from notorious art thieves.
