Under Armour is planning to build a new distribution and warehouse facility in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.
The company’s original warehouse is in Baltimore, and it opened another in Rialto, California in 2012. The 1 million-square-foot location in Tennessee is scheduled to open early in 2016.
The new center will cost Under Armour about $100 million, and will create 1,500 jobs in the surrounding area over the next five years.
The company partnered with the state government in Tennessee in planning the new location.
Mount Juliet is a city of about 28,000 people, just outside Nashville. Under Armour has a factory house in Nashville, as well as one further east in Sevierville, about 200 miles east of Nashville.
