The Maryland Technology Development Corp., or TEDCO, announced on Monday the launch of a program to aid startups by lending them executives or coaching entrepreneurs. The Executive Exchange Program is an initiative designed to cut across all TEDCO funding programs. TEDCO, the state’s entrepreneurial support organization, hopes to reach up to 80 ventures in the initiative’s first year. The Executive Exchange Program consists of six elements: loaned executives, executive coaching, CEO roundtables, portfolio workshops and coaching and mentoring from Maryland Entrepreneurs Resource List members and TEDCO staff and Rural Business Initiative representatives. The first year of Executive Exchange will be directed at TEDCO’s Technology Commercialization Fund and Maryland Innovation Initiative companies.
