College of Southern Maryland gets federal grant

The College of Southern Maryland has been awarded a multiyear Department of Labor grant of $826,160. The grant is through the Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training program, which provides $450 million nationally — $15 million in Maryland — to community colleges. The goal is to improve education and career training programs for unemployed workers in partnership with local employers. CSM and 13 other state community colleges will focus on cybersecurity.
