The West Ocean City Harbor, which underwent major renovations in 2011, has won the Outstanding Large Project Award from the States Organization for Boating Access, a national organization devoted to the acquisition, development and administration of public recreational boating facilities. The West Ocean City Harbor provides access to the Atlantic Ocean and Maryland’s coastal gays. The award was presented to project partners the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Maryland Department of Natural Resources and Worcester County. The facility has a six-lane boat ramp, two ADA-compliant aluminum floating piers and a 73-foot vinyl sheet bulkhead.
