TCS posts third-quarter loss

TeleCommunication Systems Inc., of Annapolis, a wireless communication company, reported a net loss of $1.96 million, or 3 cents per share, for the third quarter, ended Sept. 30. TCS posted a net loss of $155,000, or 0 cents per share, for the same period  last year. Revenue also dropped slightly to $95.3 million, from $96.0 million in 2013’s third quarter. “Our third-quarter results were about as we expected,” Maurice B. Tose, TCS chairman and CEO, said in a statement. He said TCS plans “significant new platforms and applications business with each of the three largest U.S. wireless carriers in the coming quarters, continued growth in Next Generation 9-1-1 and enhancements needed to support anticipated FCC 9-1-1 regulatory pressures on our wireless customers.”
