Discovery affiliate adds TNA wrestling

Destination America, a pay-TV channel owned by Silver Spring’s Discovery Communications, announced that it has signed a multiyear deal with TNA Impact Wrestling. The programming will debut in January. TNA features such wrestlers as Jeff Hardy, Bobby Roode and Kurt Angle. Henry Schleiff, Discovery group president for channels that include Destination America, said in a statement: “The enduring, cross-generational enthusiasm of pro wrestling is felt by millions of fans around the country, from coast-to-coast and throughout the heartland. We are delighted to bring this beloved American pastime to the one and only network dedicated to celebrating the unique spirit of the U.S., Destination America.” The channel’s programming includes shows such as “Mountain Monsters,” “A Haunting,” “Hillbilly Blood,” “Buying the Bayou,” “Buying Alaska,” “Ghost Asylum” and “BBQ Pitmasters.”
