Maryland League of Conservation Voters
Jen Brock-Cancellieri is a passionate advocate for the environment in the Maryland General Assembly.
Brock-Cancellieri, deputy director of the Maryland League of Conservation Voters, said she is most proud of her work helping to usher through an offshore wind energy bill that will result in 25 turbines, thousands of jobs and help abate climate change.
In recent years, the 38-year-old has organized support to pass the Global Warming Solutions Act, increase funding for bay restoration and implemented a program to prevent polluted runoff.
Brock-Cancellieri also spearheads the league’s election efforts.
She is married to Mark Brock-Cancellieri and has a 3-year-old daughter, Dylan.
“I’m driven every day not only to make Maryland’s future brighter, but also to serve as a role model for her so that she can see a woman in her life that’s balancing a career and a family,” Brock-Cancellieri said.
