Ganesha M. Martin
Chief of Staff
Baltimore Police Department
Whether it’s wrapping Christmas presents with a mentee until or getting her co-workers involved in a clothing drive for the homeless, Ganesha M. Martin has a deep dedication to Baltimore city.
As chief of staff for the Baltimore Police Department, she works to help heal the relationship between the agency and the community through creating positive interactive events, including organizing a fun wagon sent to violent areas and starting a youth academy to promote better understanding between young people and the police.
With a belief that “change starts in the heart, and the heart of a community is the children,” Martin is involved in multiple professional and community based groups including Phi Beta Kappa, the Governor’s Human Trafficking Task Force, Girls Empowerment Mission and Links Inc.
She said she tries “to live life attempting to overcome obstacles on a daily basis and helping others to figure out how to leap over their own.”
