Julie A. Hopkins has created a sophisticated intellectual property practice and now is partner and chair of the IP Practice Group at Tydings and Rosenberg LLP.
“As an IP attorney, I can use my science background and help people protect their ideas and achieve their dreams,” Hopkins, 38, said. “Working with my clients, I am constantly seeing the cutting edge of science and technology, and for me that is very exciting.”
She has been quoted by The Wall Street Journal and had articles published nationally. She also appeared on a local radio program to discuss cancellation of the Redskins trademark.
She is the chair-elect of the Maryland State Bar Association’s intellectual property section and volunteers as a coach at the University of Maryland School of Law Giles Rich Patent Moot Court team. She also helps women in Baltimore by volunteering with the House of Ruth.
