GBC honors minority business

Sixteen Baltimore-area companies have been named winners of the Greater Baltimore Committee’s 11th annual Bridging the Gap Achievement Awards. The awards program is part of a minority business development initiative of GBC. The awards were presented during a Monday event at the Grand Historic Venue. The winners are: Outstanding Achievement by a Minority-owned or Woman-owned Business —Devaney and Associates, Towson; Juxtopia LLC, Baltimore; Mahan Rykiel Associates, Baltimore; Richman Associates LLC, Baltimore; Sue Ann’s Office Supply, Baltimore; Urban Policy Development, Baltimore; Verve Partnership, Baltimore. Majority-owned Business or Business Leader Demonstrating Inclusive Practices —Baltimore Gas and Electric Co., Baltimore; Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore. Successful Partnerships and Strategic Alliances —Black Classic Press/BCP Digital Printing and Pearson, Baltimore; SRB Communications and BGE, Baltimore; Turner Construction Co., Cain Contracting Co. and Essex Construction Co., Baltimore.
