The appellant, Jeffrey N. Warren, Jr., was convicted in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City by Judge M. Brooke Murdock, sitting without a jury, of being a felon in possession of a regulated firearm and of leaving a firearm in a place where a child might have access to it. He raises on appeal the single issue that in a pretrial suppression hearing, Judge Murdock erroneously failed to suppress certain involuntary and/or non-Mirandized statements that he made to the police following his stop for a traffic violation.
