Law firms send seasons’ greetings

Happy Monday, happy holidays and, of course, Happy Festivus! It might be a slow week in this interregnum between federal holidays, but the Law Blog Roundup never stops looking for the news you can use and insights to amuse. Here are some items of note for your consideration until it’s time to eat those holiday leftovers for lunch:

— Above the Law has released its finalists in its annual holiday card contest.

— Ron Miller on the Maryland Injury Lawyer Blog: “I think too many plaintiffs’ attorneys in Maryland are too quick to accept the premise that the victim’s estate cannot make a pre-impact fright or conscious pain and suffering claim.”

— Spanish victims of thalidomide still have not been compensated for their injuries.
