LEONARD MULLIKIN v. STATE OF MARYLAND

Leonard Mullikin appeals from his conviction in the Circuit Court for Cecil County for second-degree murder. He asks us to apply plain error review to errors he identifies in the circuit court’s jury instructions and to improper statements made by the State in closing argument. He also argues that the circuit court committed reversible error by permitting improper opinion testimony by one of the State’s witnesses, and by refusing to allow that witness to be examined regarding the victim’s aggressive character.
