BGE presents grants to safety organizations

Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. presented $310,000 in grants on Thursday to 48 nonprofit safety and emergency response organizations through the company’s Emergency Response and Safety Grant program. At a news conference at Towson University, BGE officials presented the grants to more than 60 representatives from the recipient organizations, who will used the money to fund equipment, programs or services, such as thermal imaging cameras and rescue boat upgrades.

  1. I am the Chief of the Forestville Volunteer Fire Department in Prince Georges County Maryland. I stumbled on your website and learned about the grants for public safety corporations. I would like information on how we can apply for a grant. We need to purchase a thermal imager for our engine and the cost is just too prohibitive for us to do alone. any information would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
