After a jury trial in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, Marcus Lynch was convicted of second degree rape, third degree sexual offense, second degree assault, and kidnapping. Upon receiving consecutive sentences of twenty years’ imprisonment for rape and thirty years’ imprisonment for kidnapping, he noted this appeal, contending that the evidence was insufficient to sustain the convictions of either rape or kidnapping and that the circuit court abused its discretion in failing to give a modified Allen charge to the jury.
